India’s 70th Independence Day was celebrated by TRASSK (Thrissur Association of Kuwait) with variety of colorful programs. At the embassy of India Kuwait, TRASSK children presented a patriotic song as part of the flag hoisting ceremony. The presentation of patriotic song and the discipline showed by the TRASSK children were well attracted by the huge Indian Community present. Honorable Ambassador Shri. Sunil Jain appreciated them for their colorful performance and coordination.
The celebration continued in the evening at Rhythm hall Abbasiya, started with a prayer, General Secretary Mr. Ajayakumar welcomed the audience and TRASSK vice president Mr. Sugunanath presented Independence Day message and remembered the freedom fighters who sacrificed their life for Mother India to attain freedom. The Vice President also appreciated the children and members who performed at the Indian Embassy and thanked all those who put their best efforts to make the program a grand success and felicitation speeches were given by Vanitavedi general convener Mrs. Ambika Munundan, Treasurer Mr. Hari Kulangara and Kalikkalam co-ordinator Master. Ronald Frank.
Patriotic songs from different areas of Thrissur Association and a quiz competition for the children based on the independence movement of India were staged. The program was coordinated by TRASSAK joint secretaries Mr. Biju Kadavi, Mr. Joseph, joint treasurer Mr. Jivas and Arts convener Mr. Rajesh Kallayil conveyed vote of thanks.
